Green Construction: We strive to be innovative in our approach to construction, ensuring our environmental footprint is minimized during construction. We are experienced with many sustainable building materials, and are keenly interested in incorporating energy saving features into your home.
Additions/ Renovations: A special effort is required to incorporate changes to an existing structure, and have the outcome appear like it was planned from the beginning. This is a challenge we find exciting and successfully achieve.

W.E. (Bill) Taylor
With a diploma in Architectural Technology and 34 years spent in the design, construction and management community, Bill Taylor is now focusing his experience in the technical building fields with his knowledge of planning and design. Having owned and managed construction companies in the past, Bill is the General Manager of the company.
Darrin Newnham
Darrin Newnham has been in the construction industry for over 22 years. He graduated with honours from Algonquin College in Ottawa, has a Certificate of Construction Administration from the University of Calgary, is a LEED Accredited Professional and serves as an executive on the Alberta Building Envelope Council. He has worked as a custom home designer, senior architectural technologist, estimator, project manager, and business development manager for one of Canada's largest contractors. Darrin has worked on a wide variety of projects, such as residential (custom homes, renovations and additions), commercial, multi family, retail and offices.
Kris Wilson
Kris Wilson began his career in banking/commercial lending, and has specialized in equity and debt financing for real estate development. He now has 13 years of experience with real estate development and construction finance. As the partner in charge of finance, kris offers unique finance solutions for your project including land acquisition and construction financing.

With permits in place, construction can start. If this process is an extension of a design developed by our forces, a continuity of service will be in place, offering an enhanced level of communication between all parties. Our responsibilities are as follows:
The Principles of Construction
A construction project is normally driven by three principles, dictated by the owner’s lifestyle requirements, his or her tolerance to risk and the expectations of the finished product. Those principles can be summed up as follows:
Best Price: The cost for the work is fixed, based on the planning documents and specifications available at the time. In this scenario, risk is borne by the contractor. The level of risk is variable, dependent on the quality of the bid documents, the accessibility of qualified trades, the time put into the bid and the expectations of the owner. Risk comes with a cost, and any money not spent enhances the bottom line for the contractor.
Best Quality: The real focus is to produce a product of high quality, provide the owner an opportunity to participate in the construction and/ or decision making process, enabling desired changes as we proceed with minimal effect on timing or quality of the finished product.
Best Schedule: We have to be complete yesterday but as with most things in life, the faster we move will hinder our ability to plan effectively. This scenario will limit the materials and number of qualified trades available. It also comes with a cost.
Our Approach
Experience has taught us that price, quality and schedule cannot be equally represented in any given project.
• When executing a project quickly to a high standard, it will not be economical.
• When executing a project quickly and as economically as possible, quality will certainly suffer.
• When executing a project of high quality while managing the economics, schedules cannot be a priority.
Our mandate is to produce a high quality product, delivering to the owner a creation that coincides with their wishes. With this objective as a priority, one of the three principals of construction must give way.
In order to deliver on our mandate, we rely on Construction Management as a delivery process. This process differs from a traditional General Contracting role in its approach. A Construction Manager represents the Owner and their interests. A General Contractor utilizes a cost-driven delivery system, with any savings retained by the General Contractor. This encourages adversarial relationships, can encourage costly claims and may sacrifice quality. While General Contracting may appear more economical prior to starting, the final cost of construction is usually lower with a Construction Management system. Benefits of Construction Management are:
• Focus of the project remains on the wishes of the client.
• Allows a construction value to be assigned to schematic ideas.
• Enables work to begin prior to the completion of the construction documents, enabling a phased approach.
• Promotes an environment for reacting to change quickly while delivering value.
• Risk remains with the client, but is not paid for in advance.
• Cost is driven by the client, controlled with choices for materials and finishes as well as scope of work.

From the beginning: We, with our partners, are capable of taking your ideas, focusing them into a concept with the ability to turn them into a reality.
With a Completed Design: If a design for an addition, renovation or new home has been produced, our team can offer budgeting, project management and construction services for the endeavour.
Renovations and Additions: In some respects, these are more difficult than new construction. Integrating occupant expectations, restrictive structural layouts and an existing infrastructure into new work can be a challenge, one which we relish. Producing a final product that blends seamlessly into the old is worth the effort.
New Homes: If you have a property already or are looking for one, if you have plans from which to budget or just an idea of what is desired, we can help there too. We possess expertise in all facets of the property acquisition, design and construction process which can be utilized throughout the journey, or just for certain phases of it.
